Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Book Characters That Would Be Sitting At My Lunch Table

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature run by BrokeAndBookish each week – I’m thinking I might not take part every week but just see if a week takes my fancy. This is an eclectic mix of characters of various ages so let’s say this school is more of a school/college/university hybrid where age doesn’t really matter. Also this is quite an eclectic mix of characters and personalities which I think is quite true to life as I tend to have eclectic groups of friends who are interested in different things.

Christina (Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth) Christina
Christina would definitely tell it like it is and help keep everyone level-headed and would be there for everyone.

Cal Leandros (Cal Leandros series by Rob Thurman)
Cal would be a bit moody and a bit of a loner but he’d soon become one of the gang and would be very loyal to the group and be up for being a sarcastic idiot now and then.

Hermione_Granger_OOTP_promo_f_1Hermione Granger (Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling)
Hermione would be making sure she had all her homework and maybe helping the others out when they’re a bit late starting said homework due to dragons, superhero-business or some other dilemma.

Nine (I am Number Four series by Pittacus Lore)
Nine would like to feel he is the leader of this lunch table, the others may humour him since he’s not really hurting anyone with his big ego.

Murtagh (The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paoloni) murtagh
Murtagh has some issues but Ii think he’d get on well with Cal since they both have less than great fathers so they can bond over troubled childhoods.

Gabrielle (Heist Society series by Ally Carter)
Gabrielle would definitely be the most glamorous or the group and would have guys falling at her feet but she’d know exactly how to get them to do what she wants. Think she and Cal would get along since they both do less than legal things.

LinkOfficialLink (Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl)
Link would be the joker of the group and one of the most “normal” at the lunch table.

Nora (Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion)
Nora is a bit of a badass but is also quite happy to talk about boys. I think she and Gabrielle would get on great.

Edmund Pevensie (The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis) Skandar_Keynes_as_Edmund_Pevensie_(2008)
Edmund wouldn’t want to back down from an argument but he also has a good sense of what’s right and wrong so wouldn’t be easily pulled into an actual fight. I think he and Hermione would get on quite well due to having experience with various magical creatures.

Kate Bishop (Young Avengers by Kieron Gillen & Jamie McKelvie and Hawkeye by Matt Fraction & David Aja)
Kate would go to school for a rest so you might find her dozing in her lunch after a late night being a superhero. She’d put up with no nonsense from any of the boys (she’s used to Clint Barton-levels of nonsense, this group would be a walk in the park)

I predict explosions, arguments, laughs and good fights at this lunch table.

  1. Oh my god! How COULD I forget Christina and Murtagh? Something must be going wrong with me! *high five for reading the Inheritence Cycle* 😀
Though if I could choose, I’d be putting Angela at my table! She’s my favorite, next to Nasuada.

    1. *high five* I basically grew up reading the Inheritance Cycle since I read Eragon when I was 11.
I love Angela too! She’s my joint favourite character with Murtagh to be honest but I tried to just have one character per book/series since it would be so easy to have so many characters from one world.

      1. I know! When I was first making the list for my TTT I ended up with something like 18 characters. Needless to say, I had to do quite the bit of editing afterwards, which is why I missed out on so many characters I love ❤
But to be honest with myself, even if there was like a hundred seats at my table – I'd still be wanting more *winces* 😉
