“She doesn’t have kids, then?” he asks, and I don’t know if I’m imagining it, but the second the subject of children comes up, I can hear an edge in his voice and I can feel the argument coming and I just don’t want it, can’t deal with it, so I get to my feet and tell him to bring the wine glasses, because we’re going to the bedroom.

This book is really something. I didn’t figure out the mystery until the end, either.
Same! I really liked it even though I didn’t particularly like any of the characters.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about this one!

I finished reading it the other day and I really enjoyed it. You never quite knew who to believe or what was really real and I loved that.

Me too! I finished it the other day and was really impressed with it.
I have seen The Girl on the Train but never picked it up to see what it was about. The writing caught my attention.

I think the writing is great, it’s got all these long sentences that are like a strain of consciousness and it really pulls you in. I’d definitely recommend it.
