My TBR

It’s been a while since I’ve listed all the unread books I own, in fact the last time I did it was in April 2014. As it’s the start of a new year I thought it would be time to have a look at my shelves and work out how many unread books I actually have. I don’t have one part of my shelves that are my unread books, my books tend to get clumped together by author and what size they are because I like all hardbacks together and stuff like that. That’s 93 books I have sitting on my shelves/ereader that I have yet to read!

I hope to get my TBR down to 50 books by the end of the year. So that means I’ve got to read 43 of these and whatever other books I end up buying throughout the year as I want to end 2016 with 50 books or less on my TBR. Also if I try a book and can’t get into it and don’t feel like I will ever read it then that will be considered off my TBR. In the case of a lot of the “classics” on my shelf, some of them have been there for over ten years! If I can read three classics I’ll be happy, plus some of these books are comics and graphic novels so they should be a quick and easy read.

And because I like charts here’s one that breaks down the genres of the books on my TBR. At least with such a variety of books on my TBR, I shouldn’t get bored with my reading this year.

Have you read any of these books? What do you reckon I need to pick up and read ASAP? Positive thoughts would be much appreciated as I try to make a big dent in my TBR this year.
