I love this band a lot, so much so it’s caused me a major dilemma as to which song to include in this post. I love so many of their songs, there’s songs like Radioactive which are so well known now and then there’s song like Bet My Life which I forget is an Imagine Dragons song but it’s still super catchy.
I like how their music is featured on so many big films. There’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Iron Man 3 and many more. They’ve made so many great songs that you can see the lyrics being used on fandom gifsets – that’s how I think An artist has made it, when their lyrics are used for someone’s OTP.
I saw Imagine Dragons live in 2013 in London and it’s still one of the best concerts I’ve been to. Dan Reynolds was just full of energy, jumping all over the stage while singing and banging drums – I don’t know how he did it. He’s a brilliant showman and it was a brilliant show. I especially loved how there were people of all ages in the crowd, young teens with parents, twenty-odd year olds and “proper adults” as I call them.
I can’t wait till their third album is finally released. It feels like there’s been talk of it for ages but when the single Believer was released it made it all seem a bit closer and more real. I love this single (even though I often get tongue-tied trying to sing along to it) and I love how it continues the band’s tradition of making kind of weird yet striking music videos.
I LOVE Imagine Dragons. When I first heard Radioactive I was stunned, the way the song is built up, really really awesome!
Have high hopes they will come to Glastonbury this year, so I can finally see them live. Believer is one of my favorite songs of this moment, and I can’t wait to hear them play it 🙂

Radioactive is such a great song! How it builds, the beat and the emotion is just brilliant.
They’d be amazing performing in a place like Glastonbury! I hope you do get to see them love soon 🙂
Thank you and right back atcha! 😀
I agree with your theory, Elena. I too feel that an artiste has arrived when their music is chosen as the original sound track for a film.
I’ve never heard this track or the name of the band either. Maybe I’m even more of a “proper” adult than I thought I was.

It’s always a surprise when something makes you feel like a “proper adult” but I’m sure that’ not the case! 😛
It’s probably unbelievable to you but I did not know the name of this band, although the music is very familiar. I’m at a time in my life where music is very much in the background for me but it’s wonderful to learn about a phenomenal new artist. Thank you for visiting my blog today.
I’m like that with some musicians. I say I haven’t heard of a band/artist but when I actually hear their music I’m like “Oh these people!” I’m definitely band at just listening to songs in the background on the radio and never making a note of the songs/artists I actually really like 😛
I didn’t know the name of this band.
Imagination is powerful. And their name speaks volumes.
I have to admit as most other Gen Xers, if the band isn’t from the 90’s then I’m not interested. But I have heard a few of their songs and have to say that they are a really good band. I guess there has been good music made after 1999 :-).
😉 There’s always good music if you’re looking in the right places 😛
one of my favourites too- I love their songs which have a bass line you feel in your stomach
That’s a great way to describe their music!
I love Imagine Dragons! I listen to them while I’m working during the day. Their songs make endless hours of computer work less tedious.
Yay! I listened to them a lot when I was writing my dissertations, it definitely makes potentially dull work less tedious 🙂
I really enjoyed Believer. Now it’s going around and around in my head!
Oh yeah, probably should’ve put a warning that’s it’s a bit of an earworm! Glad you liked it though 😀
